Welcome one and all. It's time to enjoy this beauty of a healing plant used for who knows how long. What I do know is she is here now with you and I. She is 'Sambucus', also known to many as Elderberry.
Who would have thought that these beautiful fragrant white flowers that transform into fruit that can be used in many ways.
She has properties that can be used in all her phases. You can use the Flowers and Fruit. of the plant. And make them into Tasty Teas, tinctures (Herbal medicines with the right knowledge ~ I encourage you to learn more about how it can help you!), and dry the fruit berries for mid-winter cold and flu season, or just that tea you need to give you a boost. I personally pick the flowers, dry for teas and make medicine with the white flowers and then when the berries show up. My favorite is making my Elderberry jam! I love to eat my medicine. Yummy!
